Thots Cove School celebrated a significant victory at the Debrill Phonics Competition held in ilorin .
The Learners walked away with the top position in one category, two second-place finishes, and one third-place finish, marking a momentous achievement for the Learners and staff.
The competition, known for its rigorous standards and high level of difficulty, saw participation from numerous schools across the region. Thots Cove’s team, consisting of Jimoh Naeemah, Johakem Jonathan, Adebiyi Fola, Saka Aleeyah, Salau Mutmainah, Ejiga Favour, Gada Abdulkareem, Abdullahi Zubayr, Ajiboye Aliyah, and Adua Muizza, displayed exceptional skills and teamwork throughout the event.
A deep understanding of phonics saw Thots Cove learners outshining their competitors in the various challenging rounds.
